Who writes here

Jonas Vandenberghe has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2021 and verifies every claim focused mainly on payouts and KYC. Works from Gent.

How we test. we create a player account ourselves, deposit via Bancontact, request a withdrawal and time every step. Every operator goes past the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and go over the small print word by word.

We are paid through affiliate links; what we write is independent of that fee. Even with a well-paying partner the verdict holds.

Limits, age and EPIS

Belgium regulates player protection more tightly than the Netherlands or France with concrete consequences for your account. Each site automatically applies a €200 weekly ceiling. Lowering it is immediate, upwards, a review and a delay apply.

Exclusion runs centrally through the EPIS register: a single request is enough to stay out everywhere at once. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; scratch cards and Lotto stay at 18. Without valid ID you do not get through.
